The RAP Medical Fund Provides Veterinary Care to our animals. All animals receive appropriate routine care such as vaccines, wormings, heartworm testing, and spays and neuters. It also helps those needing extraordinary care. This includes heartworm treatment, tumor removals, dentals, orthopedic surgeries, critical care and much more. Below are some of the animals who have benefited from this fund, as well as those who are waiting. Due to a large number of animals needing critical care, the Medical Fund has been depleted and numerous animals are waiting for care. Please consider donating.
We have recently had a number of dogs coming us in need of much more than routine medical care. This has included Heartworm positive dogs, two needing orthopedic surgery, a puppy with a grave injury, and several critically ill dogs. It has depleted our medical fund and left us with a large vet bill, and has left us with animals needing treatment who have to wait. Please consider making a donation so that we can continue to help dogs in need, and those waiting for medical care can receive it. Please read just a few of their stories below. All Donations are tax-deductible.

April Mae came to us from a breeder who neglected her health. She was heartworm positive, and received treatment. Because she was not spayed when she was young, she also had mammary gland tumors. She is now spayed and the tumors have been removed, and her ultrasound shows no sign of cancer. Unfortunately, she does have growth in her ear canal which needs to be removed. The amount needed for her surgery is 2000.00. Please consider donating to help this courageous girl! |

Holly was an adorable little puppy who found herself dumped in a high kill shelter. We pulled her, but not before she came down with Parvo. Holly received treatment at the Univ. of Penn Vet hospital. She is now healthy, happy and adopted! Her bill was 1500.00. |

Tucker has one of the sweetest temperaments we've ever seen, despite what he's been through. This poor dog at just 1 year of age was not only heartworm postive, but had been hit by a car. His leg was broken and healed improperly, so he requires surgery to help him walk well and be pain free. He has been treated for heartworm but we now need to raise funds for his surgery. Estimate is 2500.00. Please help if you can. |

Bindi came to us heartworm positive and pregnant! She received treatment and recovered well. All of our her puppies were healthy and are adopted. Bindi has been adopted and is healthy and happy in her new home. |

Zoe is a sweet 2 year old shepherd mix girl who is in dire need of surgery for her hip displaysia. She is on pain medication, but it will only help for so long. Her surgery estimate is 5000.00. She is waiting patiently while we try to raise the funds. |

Honey came to us Heartworm positive, along with her 2 puppies. She received treatment but had to receive additional care due to a reaction to that treatment. As a result, she recovered well and is now active, healthy and happy. Her new Mom is now one of our most valued volunteers! |

Jill was dumped in a high kill shelter with her brother. She came to us very sick with parvovirus. Jill was successfully treated at Vet Referral Center. She is now a healthy, playful girl who is adopted! The cost of Jill's treatment was over 1500.00. |

Nicky is another parvo survivor! Critical emergency care was provided by Longwood Vet for Nicky, and it saved his life. Due to the amount of care involved, his medical costs were over 5000.00, which we are still paying. He is now happy and very healthy! Barb, his adoptive Mom who is now a volunteer, is chairing the Medical Fund Dinner on April 19th so that others like her Nicky can be saved. |

Snowdrop and her siblings were left at a high kill shelter. She came to us with a terrible infection the doctors thought was a result of a possible spider bite. Snowflake required extensive critical care and surgery to do skin grafts over her entire midsection. She was a trooper, and due to excellent medical care, has recovered well. She is playful and completely healthy. Her bill is in excess of 5000.00, and we are still paying it. |

Sammy was dumped in a high kill shelter by his owner because he had a seizure. He is a wonderful, loving dog. He came to us with a bad infection which needed to be treated. He has recovered very well, his seizures are under control, and he is now pending adoption. |
