Ways You Can Help......There are many ways to make a difference, even if you can't adopt. Foster a Dog or Cat....Save a Life!!!By becoming a foster you can directly save the life of a lucky dog. Foster homes provide food, plenty of love, and a safe place for a homeless dog or cat to stay while a rescue organization works to provide vet care and find a loving forever home. Food can also be provided if needed. Fosters are needed for both dogs and cats of all ages -- babies to seniors, and sometimes for pregnant dogs or cats. Sponsor a Last Chance Dog....Save a Life!!! If you are unable to foster, you can still directly save a life by donating the funds to kennel or board a dog for a period of at least 1 week. Boarding costs generally start at 12.00/day. Contributions can be made to Oreo's Fund for Emergency Boarding. This gives a dog more time so that a foster or permanent home can be found. Last Chance Sponsors are needed for both dogs and cats. Unfortunately, for most pups and kittens boarding even for a short time is not an option. Donations Donations allow rescue organizations to continue to help the tremendous number of dogs in need. It is only through your generosity that this is possible. All donations are fully tax deductible. Your gift can go toward the funds below, or may be applied to a specific animal. Medical Fundall dogs receive basic medical care but some need much more than that. This fund allows us to treat dogs with injuries, Heartworm positive dogs, those needing the care of specialists and those who are sick. It pays for much needed medicine. Spay/Neuter Fundthis allows us to spay and neuter the pets who come to us, as well as often assist indivuals who are unable to afford to alter their pets. Sponsor a RAP Dog or Cat -- this provides a lucky dog or cat with much needed care. Your name will be listed under that animal's description on our site, if you wish. | |||||||||||||
The Last Chance dogs pictured below are not currently with our Rescue, but in a high kill shelter, or in danger of going to one. Our current foster homes are full. If you can foster any of them, or are willing to foster to adopt, we can bring them into our program. Our fosters provide safe haven and lot's of love. RAP covers all medical costs and will find the dog/puppies a home. If you can open your home, even for a short time, to help save a life, please consider it. It is a very rewarding experience and the animals are grateful! Sweet boy. Dougie and Shiloh Both are in foster care! Both get along with everyone. If you would like to adopt, please submit an application. Medical Fund Donations Desperately Needed We have recently had a number of dogs coming to us in need of much more than routine medical care. This has included 12 Heartworm positive dogs, two needing orthopedic surgery and a puppy with an injury. It has completely depleted our medical fund and left us with a very large vet bill. Please consider making a donation so that we can continue to help dogs in need. All Donations are tax-deductible. Foster Needed ASAP -- Sweet female beagle mix Chloe is friendly with everyone, and loves to play. Her adoption fee includes spay. Rudy is truly a wonderful dog. He gets along with cats, dogs and everyone he meets. He is housetrained, crate-trained and knows basic commands. Because he is black and a boy, he has had a hard time getting adopted. Large black dogs die more than any others in shelters....
